LEET DOTA COMPETITION

7 teams turned up. A change in competition plans made it more exciting for the teams!
A round-robin started at 11:30 am. The 7 teams of 4, battled it out till 9:30pm.
Pizzas were served for lunch time as the teams were having a break.

Competition Details:

Leet Competition Entry fees
- $65 per team (full payment upon sign-up)
- Pay to play system: Each team must log on before commencement of play, paying for their playing time. Teams can log out once their match is over. If team members wishes to still continue on a computer to practise after a match, than they must remain logged on.
- Login rates: member $2/hr, non-members $3/hr
- $10 deposit or driver’s license is required as a deposit for non-members
Round-Robin
- Win = 2 points
- Draw = 1 point
- Lose = 0 points
- Each team plays every other team, the team with the highest score at the end of the round-robin wins
Teams
- 4 players on each team, one reserve allowed if there is a valid reason.
- each team must nominate a contact person (captain)
- each team must specify a team name
- all players must bring their Photo ID upon sign up
- teams and individuals can only sign up for either Noobie or Leet Competition, not both
Maps
- Map version 6.32b will be used or latest stable map
- Map format is -arlm for Noobie Competition
- No pooling of any kind
- Sharing chicken allowed
- Entering enemy base without your creeps present is not allowed
- Teleporting into enemy base without your creeps present is not allowed
- Once in enemy base, destroying whatever you can is allowed
- Pushing first two towers is allowed without your creeps
- No blocking creeps
Remaking policy
- If any of the computers crash within 30 minutes from start of the game, a rematch will occur
- If any of the computers crash after 30 minutes from the start of the game, the following score will determine the winner:
• each hero kill gets 1 point
• each remaining tower gets 2 points
• each remaining barrack gets 5 points
- In exceptional circumstances, Cydus may reserve the option of a rematch after 30mins
- Maximum game time is 90 minutes. After which the game will end and scores will be added to determine the winner. Cydus reserves the right to allow the game to continue
- If a critical error occurs on all computers and no points can be determined, than a rematch will occur
- No banging on the equipment and / or table which may cause a disruption in the game. Forfeit will be at Cydus administration’s discretion
- Excessive swearing and abusive language towards other players and staff may result in a disqualification
- All captains must inform Cydus staff prior to any team members leaving Cydus premises during the competition
- Cydus reserves the right to continue the competition to the next weekend if the competition cannot end within a reasonable day/time frame
- Cydus administration decision is final
- Cydus reserves the right to change any of the rules or conditions mentioned above at anytime
